blank is a local-first markdown writer. It is built so that your writing stays yours.

What blank collects

Nothing. blank has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. The developer does not collect, receive, store, transmit, or sell any personal data or usage data.

Where your notes live

Your notes are plain markdown (.md) files stored on your device, in the folder you choose. If you select an iCloud Drive location, those files are stored in your own iCloud account and synced by Apple under Apple's privacy policy — blank has no servers and never sends your notes anywhere itself.

Permissions

blank only accesses the folder you grant it. It does not use the camera, microphone, location, contacts, or any other personal data.

Children

blank does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
